About Cedar Mountain Environmental
Cedar Mountain Environmental (CME) was formed to address an emerging crisis in the Low Level Radioactive Waste (LLRW) Disposal Industry—monopolistic control of LLRW disposal facilities and the resulting domination of the specialized, technology-based nuclear services
Our corporate vision is to site and operate LLRW disposal facilities, for the mutual benefit of our shareholders, LLRW generators, and related LLRW industries. Ultimately, our corporate vision is to dispose of 50% of Class A LLRW, 50% of the Class B&C Waste, and 50% of the Below Regulatory Concern Waste.
CME strives to permit, construct and operate two different facilities in the Western United States, one in Idaho and another in Utah. The Idaho facility is located in Bingham County and is being developed with a company by the name of InviroTrust. The Utah site is being developed in Tooele County. CME’s principals fulfill critical roles to transform this vision into reality. Together, CME and InviroTrust currently include technical expertise, business acumen, financial resources, and legal and governmental resources.
Further, Cedar Mountain’s founder, Mr. Charles A. Judd, has 18 years of experience in the LLRW disposal industry and is the only person in the nation who has both permitted and successfully operated a private LLRW facility. Mr. Judd took the lead in permitting Envirocare of Utah’s facility in Clive, Utah, now known as EnergySolutions. Mr. Judd helped the company secure licenses for Class A Low-level waste and Mixed Waste from the State of Utah. Mr. Judd also led Envirocare’s successful application for the disposal of 11e.(2) materials, which permit was promptly issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
