Cedar Mountain Environmental has completed the sale of 315 acres of land in Tooele County to Envirocare of Utah. This land was given final siting criteria approval from the State of Utah for the disposal of radioactive waste last year. Although CME will not be looking to establish a disposal facility at this location any longer, Envirocare's purchase of this land supports the idea that there is a need for additional radioactive waste cell space.

Because of the need for additional facilities, Cedar Mountain is pursuing sites for the disposal of radioactive waste. Cedar Mountain is currently in the process of securing other sites which it can purchase with the hope of establishing disposal operations. Cedar Mountain is looking at sites both inside and outside the State of Utah.
